Dear Editor,

In response to various recent articles on the topic of ecoterrorism and Seekers, I'd like to add my two cents:

I've come to learn that no seeker can be held responsible for her actions. They were all raised by the all-seeing monks and are under constant supervision.  Almost every act they carry out falls in line with what they are programmed to do.

Their view of the world and the hard-earned gifts bestowed on them are beyond anything most humans can comprehend. Selected at birth and put through rigorous training, Seekers like Tantrica are tough as nails and highly intelligent, despite a lack of what we consider a formal education.

What is their mission on earth? They themselves may not even be privy to it. The answers are rumored to be buried in the jungle in an extra-terrestrial wreckage that many dare not investigate. I've noticed that even some Seekers get the creeps when they walk in there.

We can only speculate about why the Seeker, Hope, would create such chaos surrounding the Raiders' Oil Refinery, Gunk Works, pitting mobs of people against one another and nearly destroying the jungle as we know it. However, we can be certain that whatever the reason, it was all done under the order of the monks.

Perhaps the monks have our best interest in mind, or perhaps they seek to divide us so they can claim our resources. Perhaps they simply entertain themselves at the expense of humans.

Despite all these questions, one thing we should always keep in mind is these seekers belong to our race and they have not become Seekers by choice. Whether they are blessed or victims, we may never know. We can at least be certain that no matter what mischief they get up to, they are innocent and cannot help themselves. We must remember to appreciate their sacrifices and try to understand their view of our world. Lastly, we should admire them for their astonishing beauty and wit.  Seekers are the cream of the crop, whisked away by the monks for a reason.
