Amazon Coin and the Cashless Economy
We have updated and improved the cashless coin system. This is a quick summary of how it works.
Pouch
You can get a new pouch (available in varying sizes) from the Guarani camp in Mosquito Bay (Guarani Camp in the Cave System).
When you wear a new pouch you will see the following message as it is 'registered' as yours:
[05:18:45] Amazon River Coin Pouch M: Registering this pouch as new pouch to the database...
[05:18:45] Amazon River Coin Pouch M: Current value = 0 Amazon Coins.
The pouch is your store of cashless coinage - as you sell items or trade with others the number of coin will increase or, if you transfer coin to others, decrease.
For example, when you sell goods at a cashless Trading Table, be sure you are wearing your pouch and you will see a message similar to this:-
[05:21:29] Amazon Trading Table (cashless): Your coin(s) to the value of 3 have been credited to you
[05:21:30] Amazon River Coin Pouch M: Current value = 3 Amazon Coins.
You can touch (click) the pouch of a player near you to receive the following options - Pay them, Pick-pocket them.
If you decide to pay them, simply enter the number of coin you wish to send to them from the pouch you are wearing. You must have sufficient coin to cover the payment in your worn pouch or it will fail.
If you want to steal from their pouch select the "Pick" option - but beware! You may be lucky and manage to steal 5 coin from them (if they have it) but they will notice their pouch is lighter! You may also get caught out - and have to face any (roleplay) consequences!
The Accountant
Sooner or later your pouch may be too full of coin for you to want to carry it around. You can visit your accountant to manage your affairs. He is to be found in Tanana which you can reach through a portal if you have discovered Tanana already, or by Role-Play with locals to find this hidden land. Only one person at a time may carry out financial transactions with the Accountant.

When you approach him he will check your account and tell you how much (if anything) you currently have on deposit with him. You have the choice of withdrawing money from the deposit to the pouch you are wearing, or transferring coin from the pouch into the safe deposit.

if you withdraw money, you will receive a message like this:-
[05:32:47] your accountant: Receipt, only for you to see: you have withdrawn the amount of 5 coins. your balance in my books is now 15 coins
[05:32:47] your accountant: This was a successful transaction. It was my utmost pleasure to do business with you. Please come back soon!
[05:32:47] Amazon River Coin Pouch M: Current value = 8 Amazon Coins.
If you deposit money you will see a message like this:-
[05:34:04] your accountant: Receipt, only for you to see: you have deposited the amount of 3 coins. your balance in my books is now 18 coins
[05:34:04] your accountant: This was a successful transaction. It was my utmost pleasure to do business with you. Please come back soon!
[05:34:04] Amazon River Coin Pouch M: Current value = 5 Amazon Coins.
The transactions are confidential.
The Accountant can also be helpful of you need to transfer coins remotely to other players. Let's say you have 2,500 coin on deposit with the Accountant but you need to pay someone 500 coin. Wear a new empty pouch - go to the Accountant - withdraw 500 coin to the empty pouch - detach the pouch and send it to the person to whom you owe the 500 coin.
