AMAZON — Judge Jojo Rhapsody Hayze found Wumpy Wolfhunter guilty of attempted mass murder and blackmail in an Policia Amazonica court on Aug. 27.

The police allege that on Aug. 10, Wumpy planted two nuclear bombs around Policia Amazonica headquarters, in an apparent attempt to blackmail the police into planting shrubbery and trees around the station.

Wolfhunter plead not guilty to the charges.

According to police, Officer Nuff discovered the bombs along with a threatening note allegedly signed by Wolfhunter. After Nuff reported the discovery, Captain Diana Fawcett solicited the ordinance disposal skills of Svengali Merlin, who defused the explosives.

Later, Fawcett interviewed Wolfhunter, who police say admitted her guilt.

Prosecutor Khaing Zar, who is also chieftess of the Xocó, presented the evidence at trial, which included photos of the bomb in situ and diagram of its internal workings. Zar also produced the note allegedly left by Wumpy, as well as testimony from Officer Nuff, Fawcette, and Merlin.

More explosives were found during the trial, and the courtroom had to be cleared while they were defused. There was also an organized protest from Wolfhunter supporters that disrupted the trial. Dr. Naux of the Xocó was arrested and accused of planting the bombs in court.

After hearing the evidence, Judge Jojo pronounced Wolfhunter guilty on all charges. Wolfhunter faced a sentence of dismemberment but was instead given the lightest possible sentence of community service, to be served by cleaning Policia Amazonica headquarters.

Later, vigilantes set fire to Naux’s clinic. The incident is currently under investigation.
