AMAZON — Tytanica took first prize in today's Float Parade. The event was one of the many events over two weeks celebrating Carnival in the Amazon.

In explaining the inspiration behind her float, Tytanica said it was a celebration of the return of Akuntsu.

"This raft I stand on of size is a representation of a big statement, the return of Akuntsu and its camp, the fire amongst the flames the horns among flowers ... and the traditional colors of the tropics of Brazil where we shall rise again!" Tytanica said.

Tytanica's wore a four-legged headdress.

Bird took second place with her Supay-themed float.

"Because there are a lot of people I would like to introduce to Supay," Bird said, in explaining the inspiration for her float.

B'Neh came in third with her tribute to Pachamama.

"She provides the sweet flowing waters, that caress and swell the ground," B'Neh bellowed reverently, "readying the womb of the earth for seed. With her quaking undulations and wrenching power, she pulls the spore deep within her recesses, nurturing it till conception. Her bountiful births offered graciously to us all."

B'neh stands proudly at the helm of her gorgeous float.

It was likely very hard for the judges to make their decision. Have a look at the floats and costumes from today's colorful event.
