Flying Captive

In the recent days, curious eyes of Amazon find a captive man floating in the sky. The man, surrounded by leashes, was flying in the air like a bird. Firstly, people thought he was a vulture. Others even thought that the Amazon was cursed by the monks and sky started raining people. And they even thought it might be inconvenient to intervene and help him... But the reality was quite different.

It seems that he couldn't have just gone out there to get some air. When people get him down from that cliff, they find out his wrists and belly were bound with a rope and leash is posted to a tall tree. Evidently, some people wanted to sweep off his feet and held this man in an air jail. But, why?

People of the Amazon River is famous for having different fun, fantasies and punishments for their captives. For example: making their captives wearing tutus, making them listen Xoco Anthem for hours, making them clean floors with a toothbrush, making them swim around crocs while shooting arrows behind them... In this case, it seems that the locals decided to try an interesting method.

This astonishing event occurred at the Nayeli last weekend. According to the healers' words, he was lucky to be found before it was too late. It could cause him to broken bones or to gangrene. They gave him a comfy bed to treat his wounds and right after he questioned by Sunisa from the Policia Amazonica. He told Policia to ''It was just a joke! I swear it was just a joke! And I don't know who was it, I didn't see anything! Let me go, Let me go! I swear I don't know anything!'' very excitedly. And Policia decide to believe his words and closed the case. When they let him go to his home, they saw him very happy (in a suspicious way) and act like in hurry.

Now, dear readers, I can't stop asking myself these questions; was this man really a victim or did he deserve what he went through? Was there a different meaning behind the words he spoke to the policia? Or is there a person among us who likes to deal with their victims with exaggerated methods? As the rivers of the Amazon keep flowing, the lovebirds are singing and Pachamama blesses us with new babies, are we locals really safe?
