Amazon briefs: Tapirape bless baby

AMAZON --The Tapirape tribe today held a ceremony to bless the health and happiness of tribe member Vivi's infant son, Zayne.

Eve Verino, chieftess of the Tapirape, conducted the ceremony.

"It was very beautiful and sacred," said Eve Sinclir, a member of the Mayoruna tribe. She had come all the way north to witness the blessing.

Following the ritual, the Tapirape threw a dance party to welcome new life into the jungle...like the do...all the time....
